We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer 2 to join our agile development team, focusing on releasing high-quality features and enhancing the client experience. This role involves developing testing strategies for complex features and ensuring their successful implementation. It offers opportunities to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment. The role reports to the development manager and collaborates with Development, Architecture, Product, Customer Success, SaaSIO, and Strategic Partners to deliver solutions that simplify the daily work of educational frontline staff.
Responsibilities- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex features.
- Lead exploratory testing sessions and facilitate cross-functional swarm tests.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for regression testing and continuous integration.
- Participate actively within Scrum teams, providing insights and fostering collaboration.
- Communicate project status, risks, and findings to stakeholders transparently.
- Work with engineers and product owners to identify and resolve defects early.
- Improve QA processes through root-cause analysis and trend identification.
- Mentor other QA engineers, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.
- Review test plans and provide feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 8+ years of QA experience with a successful track record
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis
- Understanding of Agile and various testing methodologies (Functional, Automation, Regression, Performance, Load)
- Experience testing web applications with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Ability to write and analyze performance tests using tools like JMeter or Taurus
- Effective time management in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
