This is a full-time remote or ideally hybrid (Europe or Switzerland preferred) position for a Junior Python Backend Developer focusing on health tech. The role includes implementing and maintaining backend services and APIs for Kivira’s mental health diagnostic platform. The candidate will work with a collaborative team (clinicians, machine learning engineers, stakeholders) to write clean, efficient, and secure Python code and ensure the scalability and performance of backend systems.

Additionally, the developer will contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform, troubleshoot backend issues, and collaborate with frontend developers to integrate application components.

• Experience and skills in Python programming, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and general programming and software development best practices
• Familiarity with API development and deployment
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, security, and safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Passion for contributing to innovative solutions in the health tech industry
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Experience with Poetry, FastAPI, SQL Alchemy
• Interest in clinical workflows
• Interest in machine learning
