Speechify’s text-to-speech products empower users to turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio to read faster, read more, and remember more. Our iOS app is part of a broader suite that includes Android, Mac, Chrome Extension, and Web App. Speechify was named Chrome Extension of the Year by Google and App of the Day by Apple. We operate in a 100% distributed, office-free environment with nearly 200 people globally.

Overview:
With the growth of our iOS app and recognition as Apple’s 2025 Design Award for inclusivity, we seek a Senior iOS Engineer to support the new user base and work on exciting projects to push our product forward. This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and loves delivering delightful user experiences. Our interview process involves several technical interviews and we aim to complete them within 1 week.

• Lead key engineering and product decisions
• Actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app
• Work within a dedicated product team
• Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
• Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture

• Experience on products that scaled to a large user base
• Track record of taking products from inception to traction and owning the engineering of the product
• Customer obsession and commitment to providing the best possible user experience
• Product thinking and ability to support internal teams and designers in the right direction
• Speed: ability to generate ideas quickly and decide what can ship now vs. what needs more time
• Focus: comfort working in a high-growth, remote, busy environment
• Technical skills:
  Swift, SwiftUI

• Swift Programming Language
• Swift
  
  UI experience
• Experience in multithreading programming
• Working with CI/CD infrastructure
• Experience with Fastlane
• SOLID principles (able to write classes with SOLID in mind)
• Experience with Git and understanding of Git strategies
