Game & 3D/XR Development, Software Engineer, C# / Unity Developer
We’re looking for a Unity Gameplay Programmer to join our Classy Crew!
In this role, you’ll work hands-on in Unity to build, extend, and polish gameplay systems for our current and upcoming PC titles. You’ll collaborate closely with design and the rest of the development team to turn ideas into clean, performant, and well-structured gameplay.
This position is ideal for a junior-to-mid level Unity developer who already understands how real games are made in Unity, not just programming in isolation, and who’s excited to grow into a more senior role over time. You’ll be our third programmer and the most experienced on the team, reporting directly to the studio lead.
Our games are premium PC titles: playful, low barrier to entry, and designed for short, replayable sessions. We’re looking for someone proactive, thoughtful, and comfortable taking initiative when opportunities or problems arise.
What You’ll Do Gameplay & Systems- Implement gameplay features and systems in Unity (URP) based on design documents and team discussions
- Work with existing codebases, understand current systems, and extend them cleanly and safely
- Write optimized, readable, and maintainable C# code following best practices
- Build and maintain prefabs, Scriptable Objects, and reusable gameplay components.
- Implement and polish UI elements and UI animations in collaboration with design
- Debug, profile, and optimize gameplay systems for performance and stability on PC (Windows)
- Use Unity as a complete development tool, not just a code editor, scenes, prefabs, animation, UI, materials, and workflows
- Collaborate on light VFX and particle effects where needed (shaders/VFX Graph knowledge is a plus, not a requirement)
