As a Senior Software Engineer at Pennylane, your squad is your primary focus. You will contribute to building reliable, scalable and user-focused products, while helping the engineers around you grow and raising the quality of our technical execution. You will:
* Understand and frame user and product problems, using your product knowledge to help your squad deliver simple, pragmatic and valuable solutions.
* Lead significant technical deliveries within your squad, from understanding the problem to designing, implementing, testing and operating the solution in production.
* Investigate and resolve complex production issues, using monitoring, observability and data analysis tools to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
* Design and evolve robust solutions, identifying performance, scalability and reliability opportunities and turning them into pragmatic technical improvements.
* Bring strong expertise in at least one major part of our stack, while being able to join a new team and become autonomous on a high-impact initiative within a few weeks.
* Improve engineering practices across the organization, through high-quality code reviews, pair programming, documentation, RFCs and the adoption of AI-assisted development without compromising software quality.
* Act as a role model and a driver for other engineers, sharing knowledge, providing actionable feedback and helping the team continuously improve its technical skills and ways of working.
