HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEER FOOTBALL COACH

The Brandywine Heights Area School District, in collaboration with the Kutztown Area School District, is accepting applications for a High School Volunteer Football Coach to assist the Kutztown Football team. KASD and BHASD share a common vision for the growth of the program and the intent of maximizing the opportunity for participation for both Kutztown and Brandywine athletes.

As a staff member of the Athletic Department, under the direction of the Athletic Director, the volunteer coach will supervise all training, practices, and instructional sessions; performance and conduct of athletes; assist in the cultivation and maintenance of a positive team culture and provide a positive experience for the student-athletes conducive to interscholastic sports in an educational setting, and fulfill other duties associated with the team and athletes as designated by the Athletic Director.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent necessary
• High School varsity level coaching in the direct sport preferred
• Evidence of effective leadership of a scholastic squad (Varsity, JV, Junior High) preferred
• Ability to articulate a vision for building/enhancing the scholastic program, including effective collaboration with community programs
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills required
