Overview
The Location Manager provides direct operational guidance and supervision, day-to-day management, customer interface, and required reporting and compliance mandates (both internal and external). Is first line representation of location management with school officials concerning issues of passenger management, route scheduling, charter activities, driver issues, and general logistics matters. Directly supervises all location personnel and is responsible for all payroll related issues.
Responsibilities- Manages fleet and facility needs
- Recruits, interviews, selects, and recommends for hire all new employees
- Improves operational efficiencies where applicable
- Enforces all company policies/procedures and ensures they are followed. (Leads by example)
- Manages all day-to-day operations of the location
- Builds positive relationships with local school district officials, parents, and the community
- Quickly responds to and resolves customer complaints
- Coaches and assists personnel
- Implements fair and consistent recognition and/or corrective discipline
- Assists district with route and stop locations (district must sign off on ALL route and stop locations)
- Assists district with data entry into district s routing system if applicable
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent (Minimum Education Requirements)
- Class A or B CDL with appropriate endorsements
- PA School Bus Instructor certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years management-related experience
- High level of customer service and relationship building
- Outstanding communication skills; internal, external, and at all levels
- Well-developed supervisory and employee relations skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize effectively
- Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
- Strong commitment to safety
- Computer literacy essential with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach and lead subordinates as well as engage employees to achieve improved performance
