CDL A Driver – Join our Shop Team to support the future growth of the Company.
Responsibilities- Shuttle commercial vehicles between the maintenance shop and customers in the surrounding area, and be home each evening.
- Pick up and deliver parts from local parts stores/distribution centers back to our maintenance shop.
- Provide excellent customer service by exceeding customers’ expectations.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives.
- Make parts runs to parts stores and deliver to shops and mobile technicians.
- Assist with maintaining the parts shelves for the technicians.
- Assist with shop cleanliness.
- Pick up customer trailers with our tractor and deliver to shop and other yards.
- Pick up and deliver customer trucks.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
- Attend management meetings when requested.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years’ experience in a related field (or a higher degree/certification and 5 years’ experience).
- Valid CDL‑A driver’s license and Driver Qualification File; able to obtain and maintain the file.
- 1 to 3 years of CDL driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.
- Ability to read and follow maps, routes, and GPS system.
- Experience demonstrating exceptional customer service to external and internal contacts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Dependable, organized, and committed.
- Positive attitude, good instincts, and self‑motivation.
- Familiarity with local geography.
- High energy, adaptability, and strong work ethic; resourceful and motivated.
