Shipping Associate
We’re looking for a Shipping Associate to ship our wood cabinetry components to customers locally and nationally.
Under the supervision of the shipping department Lead, the Shipping Associate will ensure orders are complete and correct, provide the correct hardware if needed, determine cost‑effective shipping methods and use proper handling and packing techniques.
This is a fast‑paced position which does NOT require the use of a forklift.
Additionally, the person who is selected for this position should have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. They will be responsible for backing up our current delivery personnel, load a sprinter van with product and follow GPS for delivery of finished goods. This could be driving occasionally or one day a week, whichever is needed.
The responsibilities of this position also include:- Visually inspecting the products in each order for quality (as per Keystone's specifications) before packaging.
- Ensuring that orders are fulfilled completely before shipping.
- Shipping orders according to ship dates shown on the customer's paperwork.
- Attention to detail in packing orders to minimize potential damage in transit.
- Working closely with our Customer Service department to coordinate and meet shipping deadlines.
- Working directly with customers who choose to pick up their orders at our facility.
- Generating shipping labels and packing slips.
- Strong organization skills to ensure orders are fulfilled completely and shipped as per daily schedules.
- Use proper handling and packaging of products to minimize damage in transit.
- Ability to work on your feet a majority of the day.
- Ability to drive a sprinter van for deliveries or pickups as required. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (Vans have Samsara video system).
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Must be reliable.
The ability to lift 75 lbs. and have excellent communication skills with our customers is required. This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM with overtime as required.
