Town and Country Transit (TACT) is now hiring for driver positions!

• A valid driver’s license.
• An acceptable driving record from the state(s) lived in the prior three (3) years that passes hiring criteria found in TACT policies (TACT 104 – Operator Hiring Policy).
• Pass a FBI Criminal History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal History Clearance, and PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Pass an initial DOT physical and recertification every 2 years, or as often as determined by a certifying medical profession.
• Pass a Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol test.

This position is safety-sensitive and is subject to Federal Transit Administration (FTA) drug and alcohol regulations in 49 CFR Part 655 and 49 CFR Part 40. Safety-sensitive employees are also subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing throughout employment.

• Probation
  • 60 working days at $18.50 / hour
• After Probation
  • $21.25 / hour

• Paid Time Off
  • Part-Time
    • 8 hours vacation for every 300 hours worked
  • Full-Time (average 35+ hours per week during a quarter)
    • Prorated if Full-Time Status earned throughout the year
    • Full amount awarded July 1st each year
  • Holidays
    • Full-Time employees are paid for:
      • New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
  • Health / Vision/ Dental Insurances
    • Full-Time employees
    • Employees pay 15% of insurance premiums
  • 401(k)
    • Eligible after 1 year of service during open enrollment (January and July)
    • Up to 5% company match
