Working alongside the outbound side, this role forms a closed-loop division of labor.
- Perform daily operational support across the entire inbound chain, including appointment and scheduling management, receiving execution, put-away, and storage capacity management.
- Monitor storage capacity utilization and coordinate with arrival depth and breadth to ensure reasonable use of bin locations.
- Follow up on receiving and put-away accuracy, manage exceptions, and drive on-site corrective actions.
- Support the inbound launch of new inventory programs and new business, and deliver replicable inbound solutions.
- Coordinate cycle counts, mid-year and annual full counts, and exception counts to ensure physical inventory matches system data; supervise daily inventory discrepancies (overages/shortages) and drive root cause analysis.
- Track discrepancy resolution to closure, optimize counting processes and execution standards, and develop counting plans to continuously improve counting efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the business-side representative for the US East Coast, overseeing daily fulfillment of the inbound and inventory modules by 3PL service providers; monitor and assess 3PL key metrics such as receiving timeliness rate, put-away accuracy rate, and in-warehouse discrepancy rate.
- Facilitate daily and weekly operations review meetings with the 3PL to identify operational bottlenecks and drive improvements; drive the 3PL to execute SOPs in accordance with company standards, and hold them accountable for improvement outcomes.
- Monitor core metrics such as inbound timeliness rate, put-away accuracy rate, and inventory accuracy rate; identify abnormal fluctuations and drive improvements; independently complete the full closed loop of metric monitoring, anomaly identification, and improvement tracking.
- Assist in developing and refining inbound and inventory operation SOPs to ensure process standardization.
- Two plus years of work experience as a warehouse supervisor.
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages.
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
