Finance Manager
- Annual Salary: £37,000 + DOE
- Location:
Penrith - Office-based with occasional travel - Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and forward-thinking finance professional to step into the Finance Manager role within a well-established organisation. This position is ideal for someone looking to progress their career beyond a traditional finance role, offering exposure to systems improvement, process automation, and strategic financial support. You'll play a key role in enhancing financial processes, supporting decision-making, and working closely with stakeholders across a multi-site environment.
Day-to-dayof the role
- Support and contribute to the development and optimisation of the organisation's accounting system (Sage Intacct).
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate financial processes.
- Produce high-quality management accounts, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to support financial understanding and compliance.
- Maintain strong financial controls and support audit processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with statutory reporting and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- AAT Level 4 (or working towards).
- Experience with in a finance role involving reporting, analysis, or business partnering.
- Strong understanding of management accounts and financial processes.
- Experience using accounting systems (Sage or similar desirable).
- Proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving processes.
- Desirable:
Studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent. - Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Exposure to systems improvements or automation.
- Experience with in a multi-site or complex organisation.
