Commodity Buyer

Your New Company We ar partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit a Commodity Buyer. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a specialist commodity area, managing key supplier relationships and ensuring materials are delivered to support production requirements. Your New Role Manage supplier performance, relationships, and delivery commitments. Raise and manage purchase orders in line with business demand.

Ensure on-time delivery of materials and components. Maintain accurate procurement data within SAP/ERP systems. Support cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and service levels. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production teams to meet operational objectives. What You'll Need to Succeed Previous experience within a Buyer, Commodity Buyer, Purchasing, or Procurement role. Manufacturing, engineering, automotive, aerospace, marine, or technical industry experience.

Strong supplier management and negotiation skills. Experience using ERP systems and Excel. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and problem-solving abilities. CIPS qualified or working towards qualification (desirable).
