We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join a growing food manufacturing business based in Nottinghamshire.
The business specialises in the growing, preparation and packing of fresh root vegetables and is looking for a hands-on Production Manager to oversee day-to-day production operations and help drive efficiency, quality and performance across the site.
The Role
As Production Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing the day-to-day production operation and ensuring targets are achieved.
Leading, motivating and developing the production team.
Ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Monitoring production performance, waste, downtime and output.
Ensuring all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed.
Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth production and packing operations.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity and efficiency.
Supporting production planning and ensuring customer requirements are met.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
Previous Production Management experience within food manufacturing .
Experience managing production teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
A strong understanding of food safety, quality and hygiene standards .
Good knowledge of production processes, KPIs and continuous improvement.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front.
Experience with in fresh produce, food processing, agricultural products or vegetable packing would be particularly advantageous.
