As a member of our team, you’ll work alongside likeminded individuals who support each other and prioritise happiness, in every interaction, for our guests and team alike. With a team that values connection, flexibility, variety, and challenge, we're all about making a meaningful impact on our guest’s holiday. Our three core values - We Care, We Notice, We Change – show what it means to work for a hotel which goes above and beyond for our team and guests.

We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter to assist our team at The Brackenrigg Inn. You’ll be friendly, hardworking, and have excellent time-keeping skills that enable you to prioritize under pressure.

With your dedication and attention to detail, you'll help maintain a clean and organised kitchen, transforming it into a hub of efficient creativity. From washing and sanitising dishes to keeping the kitchen tidy, your contributions will ensure a smooth operation that everyone can take pride in.

But it's not all about cleaning and organization. As a team player, you'll assist the chefs with ingredient preparation, handle deliveries, and support various kitchen tasks. Your enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile will enhance teamwork and aid in creating an enjoyable and hospitable working environment.

Joining our team means being part of a community that values excellence, innovation, and kindness in everything we do. Our commitment to our staff is reflected in our exceptional working environment - one that promotes a work-life balance, professional development, and plenty of opportunities for growth.

As our Kitchen Porter you’ll be:

  • Maintaining an organised, clean and safe workplace for all.
  • Correctly recording all waste in the appropriate method (no member of staff is to remove any item without first checking with a supervisor and completing the kitchen wastage book).
