Assistant Stage Manager

Pensacola Opera is in search of an Assistant Stage Manager for a production of Oklahoma! (Rodgers & Hammerstein) in February/March 2026.

• Perform all duties that inherently associated with the position of Assistant Stage Manager.
• Assist PSM in running and organizing all rehearsals.
• Assist PSM with all rehearsal prep duties – setting up the space, taping out the ground plan, and other duties as necessary.
• Maintain and distribute necessary paperwork, including: deck run sheet, costume tracker, entrance/exit plot, and any other relevant paperwork requested by the stage manager.
• Attend all production meetings and rehearsals.
• Work collaboratively with the properties designer to receive all show props and organize the backstage prop shelves and tables.
• Make sure the rehearsal room floor is swept and mopped before every staging rehearsal.

• PSM & ASM arrive Saturday, February 21, 2026. Room prep will take place on Sunday, February 22, with rehearsals beginning on Monday, February 23. Performances will take place March 13 & 15, 2026.
• One economy, round-trip airfare or fuel stipend (if driving), private hotel/Air Bnb housing, and ground transport stipend (if flying) are also provided.
