Senior Architect

Position Overview

Watermark Design Group is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience to lead complex architectural projects from conceptual design through construction administration. This role combines exceptional design and technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of successful project delivery. You will collaborate closely with clients to define project vision and scope, while mentoring and guiding junior team members.

• Lead and manage architectural design for complex commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior staff to foster professional development and growth.
• Manage client relationships, project budgets, and schedules to ensure successful outcomes.
• Oversee construction documentation and administration, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence, efficiency, and best practices across the firm.

• Extensive architectural expertise across commercial, industrial, and municipal applications.
• Strong technical proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
• Proven project management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
• Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Licensed Architect.
• Licensure in the State of Alabama is required, with the ability to obtain licenses in other states where Watermark practices.
