About Us:

First Baptist Church of Pensacola is a historic, Christ-centered church located in the heart of downtown Pensacola. We are currently in an exciting season of growthand we are seeking a passionate and energetic man called to serve as our Minister to Young Adults. This is a full-time ministerial position focused on discipling, equipping, and leading young adults as they grow in their faith and community as well as laying the foundation for a recreational ministry.

Position Overview:

The Minister to Young Adults will work closely with our lead team to shepherd and disciple college students, young professionals, and young married couples. This leader will cast vision, build relationships, and develop programs that foster spiritual growth, biblical literacy, and authentic community among young adults. This will take place within the normal church structure as well as developing recreational programs to accomplish the same tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive ministry strategy for young adults.

Teach and lead Bible studies, small groups, and discipleship programs.

Engage young adults through outreach, events, and regular communication.

Provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual support.

Identify and equip volunteer leaders for ministry roles.

Collaborate with church staff to integrate young adults into the broader church community.

Qualifications:

A clear calling to vocational ministry, specifically to young adults.

Male, in accordance with the pastoral leadership structure of our church.

Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life that reflects spiritual maturity.

Bachelor’s degree required; theological training or seminary degree preferred.

Excellent communication, leadership, and relational skills.
