Position Specific DescriptionThis position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all Next Era Energy's non-nuclear generation operations. This is a multi-craft position that operates and maintains plant equipment. The plant is located in Pensacola, Florida. Preferred craft Electrical or I&C.
Job OverviewPosition performs power plant operations as well as maintenance on station equipment. Job will include other miscellaneous duties as assigned to include water chemistry and environmental compliance activities. This position will be required to work on a 12-hr. rotating shift including night shifts, weekends and holidays and respond to off-hour callouts when needed.
Required Qualification- Must obtain outside/inside operation qualifications
- A candidate possesses Journeyman level qualification specific to the craft discipline specified in the Position Specific Description as an Industrial Electrician, Journeyman I&C, or Journeyman Mechanic, or a candidate can hold an Associate degree that directly applies to Power Generation
- Must obtain the basic craft of the discipline specified in the Position Specific Description section if entering classification with a relevant Associate degree in addition to outside/inside qualification operation qualification
- High School Diploma / GED
- Pass the POSS & MASS tests
- 3-5 years Industrial experience in the craft discipline specified in the Position Specific Description section
