What

YOU will do

The Aircraft Inspector will be responsible to the Lead Inspector for the performance of preliminary and buy‑back inspections on aircraft undergoing maintenance and alteration.

In This Role YOU will
  • Review incoming aircraft flight logs for items of work required to be accomplished at the Repair Station.
  • Procure required forms and work orders and transfer work to be accomplished to forms.
  • Perform required aircraft inspections and do Buybacks on work performed.
  • Check for conformance to specifications per repair instructions or other relevant manual or applicable engineering instructions approved by the FAA.
  • Assist and or perform aircraft weighing and computations.
  • Work away from home base.
  • Assist in Documentation per the Code of Federal Regulations and customer processes (FAA Form 337, 8130‑3, 8130‑9) SDR reporting, AD verification and accomplishment.
  • Review documentation after completion of maintenance visit and comply with verification signoff.
  • Successfully complete any required training course.
  • Able to perform inspection in confined space conditions and environment.
  • Perform Aircraft Return to Service.
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English Language.
  • Requires mental skills and quickness, with the ability to cope with stress and intense effort or exertion usually caused by long working hours.
  • Be familiar with basic inspection methods and techniques.
  • Under general and written directions be able to perform preliminary aircraft inspections and quality oversight.
  • Must be able to read and interpret: aircraft maintenance manuals, Illustrated Part Catalogs, Structure Repair Manuals, wiring diagrams, blue print, work card instructions, Airworthiness Directives and other documents associated with aircraft maintenance.
  • WORKING ENVIROMENT

    Industrial environment. Requires the Inspector to be able to use man lifts, scissor lifts and various other types of ladders.

    INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS

    A strong level of interpersonal skill is required to maintain an effective relationship with various departments, Inspectors, co‑workers, Supervision and the Customer.

    PHYSICAL ENVRONMENT
    • Requires easy mobility around various sections of aircraft.
    • Requires mental skills and quickness with the ability to cope with stress and intense effort or exertion usually caused by long working hours.
    • Working environment requires standing 90% of the work day on hard surfaces.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and to report to work regularly.
    What YOU Need
    • High School or GED Diploma required.
    • FAA A&P License required.
    • Five (5) years minimum experience in heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
