Our client is a growing road construction company. They are seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Manager to oversee our Plant Operations across the Florida Panhandle from Pensacola to Tallahassee. The Regional Asphalt Plant Manager will manage multiple asphalt plant operations, safety protocols at each plant, regulatory compliance, staffing, training and financial cost controls.
The Regional Asphalt Plant Manager must reside within the Florida Panhandle area.
Responsibilities / Qualifications- Knowledge of asphalt plant operations, maintenance and safety procedures
- Intimate knowledge of asphalt mix designs
- Experience in project management, scheduling and monitoring
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams
- Employer conducts drug screening and background checks
- Manage and oversee the overall operations of the asphalt production plant, including production, scheduling of materials, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve plant efficiency, safety, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies, and develop safety training programs for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with all necessary regulatory agencies, maintain permit compliance, renew permits as needed.
- Work closely with QC and field staff to ensure asphalt mix produced meets the quality and expectation of our customers.
- Develop budgets for capital improvement projects and manage their completion at each plant.
- Develop and manage each plant’s budget, including operating and maintenance cost.
- Track and monitor inventories at each plant.
- Develop new innovative ideas as advancements in technology and equipment evolve.
- Implement sustainability practices to reduce energy usage and promote recycling.
- Other duties as assigned.
