Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer

Jacobs is looking for an experienced, high-energy HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients.

$/yr – $/yr

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Develop design criteria for HVAC systems including general comfort, temperature/humidity control, pressurization, and cleanliness requirements.
• Prepare conceptual and preliminary design documents, sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Develop final design documents with specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, etc.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.

• Professional Engineering License.
• At least ten (10) years’ experience in HVAC design for industrial facilities.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate remotely.

• Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
• Experience in plumbing/utility system design.
