Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. invites applications for the Structural Engineer - Tyndall AFB position.

Location: Panama City, FL

Salary range: $ - $ per year. Pay will be based on skills and experience and will be discussed with the manager during the interview.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Provide professional structural engineering and construction management support, serving as the general engineer and providing technical leadership, guidance, and expertise in managing contractor‑executed construction projects.
  • Act as the organizational subject matter expert on national standards and practices for structural engineering designs, foundation analysis for horizontal and vertical construction, and facility material selection and approval for buildings, roads, bridges, dams, and other structures.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide comments on contractor‑submitted structural engineering designs and plans.
  • Provide quality assurance oversight, document such oversight, and recommend corrective actions as required to ensure high‑quality performance on contractor work.
  • Provide safety oversight, document such oversight, and direct corrective actions as required to ensure worker and public safety.
  • Assist in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding contractor structural engineering requirements and deliverables; document and report contractor progress.
  • Recommend authorization of progress payments based on observed contract progress.
Education / Experience Requirements
  • Current Professional Engineer license within the State of Florida.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a structural engineer on large, complex, multimillion‑dollar federal construction projects, preferably Department of Defense.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience working on coastal projects and high wind loads.
  • Experience with Resident Management System (RMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with federal facilities, including administrative buildings, airfield facilities, and multi‑use facilities.
