Senior Drainage Engineer, PE - Transportation
Department: Transportation
Location: Pensacola, FL
DRMP is looking for a 10 to 15-year Senior Roadway/Drainage Engineer to support our Northwest Florida offices. With the option to sit in Jacksonville, Pensacola, Tallahassee, Gainesville or Fort Myers, this individual will be responsible for applying, planning, and designing roadway projects, along with making recommendations that will complement the organization's objectives. This position is eligible for a sign-on-bonus!
Your Primary Responsibilities- Provide engineering analysis and design of stormwater management solutions for transportation projects.
- Oversee and manage design and production of construction details, plans, specifications and estimates.
- Collaborate with clients, subconsultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
- Direct and mentor less-experienced support staff.
- Conduct engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks including collection and analysis of data; perform routine calculations, and participate in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
- Support business development efforts including proposal pursuit efforts.
- Help build relationships with key staff of clients, potential clients, teaming partners and contractors.
- Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Must have Professional Engineering Registration with the State.
- 10-15 plus years of relevant, progressive transportation design experience.
- Drainage experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of DOT design standards and specifications.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
