Project Engineer - Tyndall AFB

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. invites applicants for the Project Engineer position located in Panama City, FL, supporting construction and engineering projects for the U.S. military at Tyndall AFB.

Base Pay Range

$/yr – $/yr (Actual compensation determined by experience and qualifications).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Observe project sites and report on progress to government personnel.
  • Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance per established policies and regulations.
  • Analyze design and construction issues under contract requirements.
  • Recommend compliance solutions for conflicting plans and technical issues.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure contract compliance.
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, contractor questions, and construct deficiency reports.
  • Assist in preparation of change orders, claims and cost estimates.
  • Review schedules and pay applications to ensure balanced progress.
  • Evaluate contractor submittals including QA and safety plans.
  • Provide field surveillance and deliver daily reports.
  • Maintain safety oversight throughout project execution.
  • Utilize the Resident Management System (RMS) for project tracking.
Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship and clearance for federal background review and drug screen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years experience on large federal construction projects, preferably DoD.
  • Experience with administrative, airfield, and infrastructure facilities.
  • Proficient in Three‑Phase QC/Inspection process.
  • Knowledge of USACE EM 385‑1‑1 Safety Manual.
  • Experience with RMS.
