This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

• Conduct preliminary assessments
• Create and modify concepts
• Resolve internal and external project problems
• Produce drawing and specification documentation
• Manage customer and vendor accessibility
• Serve as the Envoy of Record (EoR) for designs
• Provide coverage for project leads
• Potentially lead projects, depending on bandwidth
• Lead BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings
• Produce or update DIV 27 specifications
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents
• Mentor and collaborate with senior team leaders
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Sign and seal telecommunications design packages
• Identify and implement process improvements within the department

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its application to telecommunications structured cabling systems
• Proficiency in Bluebeam
• Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients
• Excellent project management skills
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs
• Experience performing quality assurance and verification of telecommunications systems designed by others
• Experience with start‑up and commissioning of telecommunications systems
• Experience creating project budgets
• Experience creating and maintaining project schedules
• Experience identifying and mitigating company risk
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; ability to obtain additional PE licenses

• At least 4 years of telecommunications design experience in data centers
• Experience working with other low‑voltage systems including security, audio/visual, wireless
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls systems and security systems
• Thorough knowledge of CSI or AIA specification writing procedures
• Credential as an RCDD
