Jacobs is looking for an experienced VDC Lead in the Advanced Manufacturing Group to manage and optimize our digital delivery processes throughout the design and construction lifecycle. The role is site‑based with flexible home‑office options in the United States.
Base pay range$/yr – $/yr
As the VDC Lead, you will provide leadership and oversight of VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery initiatives, aligning technology with client and internal objectives. Your responsibilities include creating and implementing Design & Construction BIM Execution Plans for EPCM projects, managing 3‑D logistics, 4‑D scheduling, and 5‑D cost and quantity take‑offs, integrating laser scan data, and leading clash detection and resolution meetings.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute BIM Execution Plans and Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) strategies
- Coordinate VDC tasks including 3D logistics, safety planning, 4D scheduling, and 5D cost/quantity take‑offs
- Lead clash detection, collision resolution, and as‑built processes for design teams and trade partners
- Serve as BIM subject‑matter expert and technology lead for on‑site teams, including troubleshooting, training, and mobile device support
- Collaborate on business development, proposals, and estimates; consult with clients and contractors on VDC strategies
- Develop training materials, provide technical guidance, and mentor VDC staff
- Maintain daily on‑site presence and coordinate VDC activities with field operations
- Lead reality capture, progress reporting, and documentation for remote team members using 360‑photos, laser scans, and drone data
- At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of BIM technologies and their application in manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Revizto) and Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Experience with laser scanning, point‑cloud data management, and Scan to BIM integration
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- Proven track record of onsite VDC leadership
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, project‑site and virtual environment
- Experience in developing and implementing BIM execution plans
- Strong understanding of construction processes and MEP systems
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Willing to work onsite near Baton Rouge, LA.
