Avionics Technician at ST Engineering - Mobile Aerospace Engineering (MAE)

Who WE are and where WE are going: ST Engineering Aerospace is located at Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, FL. We provide high‑quality aircraft maintenance and modification (AMM) services for commercial airlines and air freight operators, delivering reliable and timely solutions.
Responsibilities- Remove and replace aircraft components and electrical systems using specialty tooling and ground support equipment, following supervisory directives and manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and communications systems, using appropriate test equipment.
- Operate test equipment and apply diagnostic procedures.
- Repair wiring terminations and install or modify systems, interpreting reference manuals and applying tools and test equipment.
- Provide training and oversight to lower‑skill technicians.
- Maintain and store tools in serviceable condition.
- Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep work areas clean.
- Understand flight‑deck operations and perform basic ADs, EOs, SBs, and EAs.
- Evaluate normal flight reports and order replacement parts.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and distinguishing color codes.
- 42 months of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
- Proficient knowledge of IPC, inspection procedure manuals, and all applicable paperwork (job cards, service bulletins, ADs, EOs, etc.).
- Ability to research and resolve tasks with limited information.
- Familiarity with ATA codes, wiring schematics, analysis charts, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to perform ADs, EOs, SBs, EA’s, and evaluate ’s.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and supervisors.
