Engineering Technician

Pay Range

$25.00/hr – $28.00/hr.

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of all manufacturing and facilities equipment.
• Supervise the upgrades or modifications to all equipment to maintain an “As New Status” (function and appearance).
• Identify key areas for improvement and execute corrective action.
• Manage and execute small‑scale equipment and facility projects.
• Perform and execute Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Execute equipment startup, support, and calibration.
• Supervise contractors (plumbers, electricians, etc.) and coordinate mechanical assemblies.
• Communicate timely, relevant information pertaining to specific programs and engineering disciplines.
• Lead FMEAs for equipment upgrades, changes, or obsolescence.
• Utilize Root Cause Analysis in problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Train and mentor maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and problem solving.

• Knowledgeable of engineering principles and common commercial components and the ability to apply them.
• PLC knowledge and experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering standards and safety codes.
• Working knowledge of facility related infrastructure, boilers, compressors, etc.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and processes.
• Working knowledge of MS applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Understanding of AutoCAD use and application, working knowledge a plus.
• Three to five years of applicable experience in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering disciplines. Entry level with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent experience is required.
