Responsibilities
The Behavior Health Technician II assists counselors, therapeutic staff, and nursing personnel by providing clinical support to adults and children receiving substance abuse, mental health, or co‑occurring disorder services in residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient, or community-based programs. Key duties include establishing a positive helping relationship, assisting with activities of daily living and resource access, building pro‑social relationships, ensuring health and safety, implementing intervention plans, and monitoring and documenting progress.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Must obtain provided CPR certification.
- Must pass provided CPI training.
- Must complete 20 hours of the required CCA (Child Caring Agency) training that is provided.
- Must pass Human Trafficking training and certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co‑occurring services as required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in other behavioral health programs as needed.
- Must pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state where you reside, a good driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Compensation
Base pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.12 per hour based on experience. Shift differential pay ($2.00–$4.00) is available when applicable.
