• Complete health record deficiencies related to patient care, regulatory, compliance, legal, and reimbursement activities.
• Perform birth certificate completion and state registry updates.
• Audit analyzed inpatient and outpatient medical records for required physician documentation for state and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate daily with the patient access department, nursing units, coding department, and providers.
• Work the discharged, not final billed (DNFB) list to its conclusion.
• Interview patients for birth certificate completion, entering the information into the electronic state registry as required.
• Enter and update R1 software (epars, PAS, Chart Manager) for central business office requests, denials, and DNFB activities.
• Monitor task queues for data integrity issues including duplicates, overlaps, and overlays.
• Initiate the medical record suspension process according to facility and regulatory requirements.
• Perform medical record deficiency analysis and re-analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform quantitative reviews of the medical record and monitor the quality of the global team functions.
• Maintain data collection spreadsheets as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.00 - $21.88 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
