Power Generation Data Center Lead

Power Generation Data Center Lead – Part of the Power Generation Practice. Work with national Power, Power Generation and Technology practice leaders to serve existing clients and develop new global opportunities.

You are passionate about the nexus between data centers and supporting infrastructure with an emphasis on Power Generation Development and Engineering. You enjoy building relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues, and you seek to expand the depth and breadth of how you can partner to solve industry and client challenges. You have leadership experience and aim to drive innovation in the data center market.

• Lead Power Generation consulting services for data center and mission critical projects.
• Collaborate across internal organizations and manage a multi-disciplinary team of direct and indirect reports.
• Coordinate with leads in Power Generation, Power Delivery, Data Centers, Due Diligence, and Industrial services.
• Oversee coordination, quality, and timely completion of Power Generation projects or programs supporting data centers.
• Serve key roles in projects and pursuits as needed.
• Support client relationships, marketing, project execution, and collaboration meetings.
• Present at industry and client events to support HDR brand awareness.

• Master’s degree in business or engineering.
• Expertise in power market and nexus between power and technology with rapid deployment requirements.
• Experience supporting large demand customers such as data centers with infrastructure development.
• Preferred experience with a variety of client types: regulated & non-regulated utilities, independent power producers, municipalities, and other public and private clients.
• Knowledge of electric power system, market participants, energy contracts, transactions, project finance, and utility‑scale/distributed power generation technologies.
• Client development and management skills with a strong ability to maintain high quality standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to travel to in‑person meetings with clients.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years project‑management experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Commitment to participating in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
