My client, a national leader in exterior building services, is seeking a Waterproofing Operations Manager to lead a growing regional division. This individual will be responsible for overseeing field operations, managing complex commercial waterproofing projects, and driving financial performance across a portfolio of work.

Role

Summary:

As the Waterproofing Operations Manager, you will lead a team responsible for delivering commercial waterproofing projects on time and within budget. You will provide both field and financial oversight, ensuring best-in-class execution, margin protection, and client satisfaction across the portfolio.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations for all active waterproofing projects in the region
• Oversee a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Superintendents, ensuring clear performance expectations and team development
• Own regional financial performance, including budgeting, earned vs planned value tracking, and margin optimization
• Establish and enforce best practices in field execution, safety compliance, quality assurance, and scheduling
• Serve as the senior operations liaison for clients, resolving project issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams to validate scopes, ensure constructability, and align project delivery strategies
• Drive accountability around field productivity, material usage, and subcontractor performance
• Identify and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and profitability
• Support talent evaluation, hiring, and retention efforts within the operational team
• Maintain a proactive presence on job sites to monitor progress, mentor field leaders, and ensure execution aligns with company standards

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of construction experience, with a strong focus on commercial waterproofing and exterior envelope systems
• Proven leadership of multi-project teams and regional field operations
• PMP Certification preferred
• Demonstrated success managing financials, forecasting, and earned value metrics
• Experience with construction technology platforms such as Procore, CMiC, or Viewpoint
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead teams through complex project scenarios
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Base salary up to $170,000 depending on experience
