Operator Trainee

• Safely operate resin flake packaging equipment including general maintenance (e.g. inspection, cleaning, lubricating)
• Shipping and receiving of raw and processed goods on tanker trucks and trailers.
• Complete appropriate documentation for shipping and receiving.
• Perform housekeeping activities to manage combustible dust hazards.
• Perform general industrial tasks as needed (e.g. painting, labelling, cleaning, etc.)
• Complete required safety training and maintain job qualifications.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively work on shift teams.
• Ability to work with limited supervision – shows initiative.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and take appropriate action.
• Utilizes critical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability preferred.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Chemical Operator certificate or degree is preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
