Multiskilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical & Automation

Job Description: The technician inspects, tests, repairs, installs, designs, and maintains electrical systems and instrumentation according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Support and improve company safety programs.
• Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
• Train employees on equipment functionality, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Monitor equipment conditions and identify potential failures.
• Maintain electrical equipment such as motors, breakers, transformers, PLCs, control panels, lighting, and more.
• Operate equipment including stamping presses, roll formers, automation systems, and chemical systems.
• Utilize software like RSLink, Factory Talk, Studio
  5000.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks like cleaning, painting, and trash removal.
• Use test equipment, hand tools, and computer-aided tools.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns.
• Follow maintenance schedules and blueprints, adhering to codes and instructions.

Qualifications:

• 2-year technical degree or 3 years relevant industrial experience.
• Experience with troubleshooting VFDs, electrical controls, motors, schematics.
• Understanding hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Mechanical knowledge of pumps, gears, bearings, production equipment.
• Ability to fabricate and weld.
