Panhandle Outpatient Surgery Center is hiring a Pre Op PACU RN Full Time

Panhandle Outpatient Surgery Center — an outpatient surgery center that offers procedures in total joints, neuro spine, foot and ankle, pain management, and sports medicine. Our mission is to care for every patient and their family as if they were our own.

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, and ensures patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. The RN may assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate. The RN will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
