The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role involves diagnosing system issues, performing routine maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations, and recommending energy-efficient solutions to clients. The position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable, code-compliant, and cost-effective service.

Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, as well as to see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds.

If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including but not limited to: hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Environment The job is performed in outdoor settings, including walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.

• Install HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning units, ducts, thermostats, and refrigeration equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems by testing and inspecting equipment after installation.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency, safety, and optimal performance.
• Clean or replace filters, check refrigerant levels, calibrate thermostats, and lubricate moving parts.
• Inspect HVAC systems for signs of wear and tear, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system problems, including electrical issues, refrigerant leaks, or mechanical failures.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, pumps, or thermostats.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective repairs while minimizing downtime for the customer.
• Advise customers on system upgrades and energy-efficient alternatives for improving system performance.
