SUMMARY: As a Concrete Foreman, this position is responsible for providing concrete project leadership by directing field activities through the carpenters and laborers who report to this position. The Concrete Foreman works closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and other skilled or semi-skilled craft workers on the job site.

• Supervise day‑to‑day concrete tasks related to construction projects ensuring their successful completion, including communicating potential challenges and problems as well as job equipment, material, and personnel requirements.
• Coordinate project objectives and plans with Russell Marine craft and other trades.
• Complete all necessary daily job logs.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain a good working relationship with the Superintendent or Project Manager seeking assistance in the scheduling of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Promote Safety and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance with State/Federal regulations and improve existing Company programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) or be willing/eligible to obtain one upon hire. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of three (3) years of concrete experience on work barges or jobsites or equivalent experience in a construction supervisory capacity.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Demonstrate knowledge of practices & materials involved in concrete construction, general equipment, cranes and rigging. Bilingual (English and Spanish).

• Minimum of five (5) years marine or heavy civil concrete experience on work barges or jobsites or equivalent experience in a marine construction supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrate knowledge of various concrete formwork systems, plan reading, and concrete finishing. Demonstrate ability to recognize and correct any unsafe conditions that may exist or occur on the job site.

• The individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
• The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes a hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, personal floatation devices (PFD), and/or other protective equipment.
• The individual frequently works near moving mechanical parts and must be able to adapt to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, and prolonged exposure to dusty, wet, or humid conditions, loud noises, and vibration.
• The individual may be required to work long hours and/or weekends. Additionally, some out-of-town or overnight travel may be required.
• The individual may occasionally be required to sit in a vehicle for up to 8 hours.
• The individual may be required to walk, step, climb, or otherwise move from one location on the job site to another, which may be of varying heights and access parameters.
• The individual may occasionally be required to stand, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, or sit for long periods.
• The individual may be required to work in confined spaces, climb vertical ladders of a height of 6 ft. or greater, and/or elevated heights.
