Location:
Pensacola, FL – Onsite

- Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming.
- Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
- Train and mentor less experienced technicians.
- Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
- Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications.
- Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner.
- Interact and train customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call and explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off‑site learning modules, and Daikin Learning; maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets.
- Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld.
- Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures.
- Factory Certified Training, Online Training Courses, or other professional on‑the‑job training in the Building Automation and HVAC Industry.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical training and 5+ years of equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Experience in BAS, HVAC, or related industry.
- Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools.
- Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals.
- Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls.
- Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams.
- Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification.
- Experience with any common integration protocols such as: BACnet MST/IP, LON, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL.
- Strong computer skills, including computer networking fundamentals.
- OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides this training during onboarding).
- Current first aid / CPR card.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $35.40 – $55.30 in Florida. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
