Position Overview:

Allied Universal® Technology Services is looking to hire
Installation Technicians
. The
Installation Technician
will perform installations of electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, and fire alarm systems, including cable management, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware. As an
Installation Technician
, this person is expected to be a highly proactive and skilled individual and, at all times, maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services' core values.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry, including installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs, are required
• NICET certification is a plus
• Experience with access control, video management, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems, or any of the following is preferred
  • Lenel/S2, Software House, AMAG, Brivo, Open Options
  • Avigilon, Genetec, Exacqvision, Milestone, ONSSI, Axis, American Dynamics, and Eagle Eye
  • DMP, Bosch, and Commend
  • Edwards, Notifier, Firelite
• Must be able to travel and drive throughout Southern California and out of state, such as AZ, MN, UT, and CO, as needed

Scope of Work:

• Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, et cetera)
• Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
• Supervise Installation Technician I’s on a job as assigned by the Installation Manager
