Fire Extinguisher Technician

Overview

Control Systems Inc. is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our growing life safety team. This role is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and service of portable fire extinguishers and emergency/exit lighting systems while helping maintain strong customer relationships and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

• Perform monthly and annual inspections of portable fire extinguishers in compliance with NFPA 10
• Inspect, service, repair, and maintain portable fire extinguishers and emergency/exit lighting systems
• Perform inspections and maintenance for established customers and assist with coverage during team member vacations or time off
• Accurately document inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions
• Provide high-quality customer service and represent Control Systems Inc. in a professional manner
• Support team members with technical guidance and field assistance as needed
• Assist with promoting and selling fire protection services and products to existing customers
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper care of tools, vehicles, and equipment

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Required state licenses or willingness to obtain applicable licenses
• Ability to pass Government, Federal, and Customs background checks
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proven commitment to excellent customer service
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow within the role
