Economic Self‑Sufficiency Specialist Supervisor – SES
This position may be located anywhere from Pensacola, FL to Tallahassee, FL
This advertisement is an internal agency opportunity; therefore, only persons already employed by the Department of Children and Families are eligible to apply.

It is the policy of the Florida Department of Children and Families that any applicant being considered for employment must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment. No applicant may begin employment until the background screening results are received, reviewed for any disqualifying offenses, and approved by the Agency.
Background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for State and Federal criminal records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and may include local criminal history checks through local law enforcement agencies.
Minimum RequirementsAn associate’s degree, or 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college, plus two years’ experience in the ESS program as an Economic Self‑Sufficiency Specialist I or an Economic Self‑Sufficiency Specialist II. Paraprofessional experience in a position where the major responsibility was determining eligibility, conducting investigations, conducting interviews, providing counseling, recruiting, billing or collecting accounts, checking credit, processing insurance policies or claims, or providing customer service can substitute on a year for year basis for the required college education.

Special RequirementsA skills assessment test will be administered as part of the application process for this position.
Job DescriptionThis is professional work supervising Economic Self‑Sufficiency Specialists. The primary duty of this position is to communicate with, motivate, train and evaluate employees' performance; plan and direct their work; and to lead their team in such a manner that it enhances customer service and the goals of the agency.
