At PZN Youth CIC we are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Youth Worker to join our thriving Youth Team in Penzance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in youth work with good skills and abilities in leadership and safeguarding.

About the Role

As Lead Youth Worker, you will:

  • Take a key role in leading and delivering professional, creative, and engaging youth work sessions and activities for young people aged 11–17.
  • Oversee session planning, delivery and evaluation, ensuring activities meet PZN Youth’s values and safeguarding standards.
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding practice across sessions, adhering to PZN Youth safeguarding protocols and supporting staff to follow safe working procedures.
  • Deliver staff induction and training, and help to develop sessional workers’ skills and confidence.
  • Be responsible for writing incident, accident and safeguarding reports and completing end of session reports for each youth session
  • Coordinate and oversee weekly food provision and menus for youth sessions, ensuring healthy, balanced options are provided.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive team culture that celebrates young people’s voices and achievements.
