Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary school setting?

We are recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Penzance area. This varied and rewarding role will involve supporting a Key Stage 1 class, delivering small group interventions, and providing one-to-one support for pupils with additional educational needs.

The Role

Support teaching and learning within a Key Stage 1 classroom.
Deliver targeted interventions and small group activities to help pupils reach their full potential.
Provide one-to-one support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting learning to meet individual needs.
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Promote pupils' confidence, independence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day.

We're Looking For

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school is desirable.
Experience supporting children with SEN is highly advantageous.
A caring, patient and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for helping children thrive both academically and socially.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
