Responsibilities

As Facilities Manager, you will oversee the ancillary team, including catering, maintenance, transport, domestic services, and activities within our Leonard Cheshire care home.

  • Lead, coach, and develop staff across multiple service areas.
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost‑effective, compliant delivery.
  • Oversee health & safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure high standards in catering, domestic, and transport services.
  • Support the delivery of engaging, inclusive activities for residents.
  • Oversee rostering, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external partners.
  • Promote Leonard Cheshire values of positivity, pride, and pioneering spirit.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience supervising staff and managing services or facilities.
  • Proven ability to work within and manage a budget.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of health & safety, safeguarding, and compliance.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities (desirable).
  • A full, clean driving licence if driving is required.
  • A genuine commitment to promoting independence and inclusion.
