About the role

In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting a fun-loving 64-year-old gentleman with learning disabilities and autism to live his life to the fullest. He’s great company—playful, cheeky, and full of personality—so a good sense of humour is essential, as he enjoys a bit of banter and light‑hearted joking once he gets to know you. He also has a special bond with his pet rabbit, Popeye, who is truly his pride and joy.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll be supporting him both at home and out in the community on a 2:1 basis, whether that’s people‑watching, enjoying trips to Penzance arcades for the 2p machines, or keeping up with his love of football and rugby. This role calls for someone who values person‑led support and has experience in Positive Behaviour Support, alongside the confidence to work independently le it can be challenging, it’s equally full of meaningful, feel‑good moments where you’ll see the genuine impact of your support.

Shifts
