IV Community Nurse

We are currently recruiting experienced Community IV Therapy Nurses to provide high-quality clinical care to patients in their own homes and community settings.

As a Community IV Therapy Nurse, you will be responsible for safely administering IV therapies and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey, while working independently in the community.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who enjoy delivering patient-centred care outside of a traditional hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver IV therapy and intravenous medications safely within patients' homes.
Assess patients before, during and after treatment.
Cannulate patients and maintain peripheral IV access where required.
Administer prescribed medications and infusions in accordance with clinical protocols.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to any clinical concerns.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare professionals and clinical teams.
Escalate any changes in a patient's condition appropriately.
Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
Maintain professional standards in line with the NMC Code.
Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider clinical team
