UPW (Ultrapure Water) engineering involves the design, operation, maintenance, and improvement of systems that produce ultra‑pure water, which is essential for high‑tech industries. This role requires a strong background in chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Management:
    Owning and maintaining the entire UPW system, monitoring performance, analyzing trends, and ensuring safe operation.
  • Project Execution:
    Planning and implementing engineering projects such as upgrades, retrofits, and expansions for UPW and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
    Responding to system interruptions, conducting root cause analysis, and applying problem‑solving methods.
  • Process Improvement:
    Researching, developing, and implementing technology upgrades to improve water quality, reliability, and safety.
  • Quality Control:
    Ensuring the water meets specific quality parameters, including monitoring for contaminants.
  • Capacity and Cost Management:
    Tracking system capacity, planning for future needs, and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Education:

    A degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    Significant experience with ultrapure water systems in design, construction, commissioning, and/or operations, often with a focus on industrial or high‑tech facilities.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Strong knowledge of process technology, safety protocols, and relevant software such as AutoCAD.
  • Analytical and Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Project Management:
    Experience in facilities engineering, project management, and troubleshooting.
