Position overview:

The Field Service Reliability Engineer works across multiple manufacturing sites to lead reliability centered maintenance efforts, improve equipment performance, and drive proactive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities
  • Extensive travel required (local, national).
  • Promotes and adheres to ATS safety culture.
  • Engages in diverse work environments to lead reliability centered maintenance efforts.
  • Mentors and coaches customer facility personnel on reliability best practices.
  • Identify top reliability issues leading to lost production and preventable maintenance spending; communicate findings with leadership.
  • Provide solutions to root cause deficiencies and demonstrate economic benefits of corrections.
  • Drive the implementation of equipment improvement projects.
  • Identify and implement current and new processes/technologies to increase equipment performance and uptime.
  • Champion systems and best practice procedures toward a proactive manufacturing culture.
  • Analyze equipment performance, failure data, and maintenance history to develop and deploy reliability strategies and preventive maintenance optimization.
  • Provide technical service to operations and manufacturing personnel on equipment troubleshooting.
  • Utilize predictive, preventative, and precision maintenance technologies to identify or control risks prior to failure.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize assets and actions by failure probability and risk considerations.
  • Provide training on Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Analysis; manage corrective action tracking and follow-up to ensure documentation of RCA projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ATS policies and procedures.
Essential KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET accredited).
  • Eight+ years of reliability experience across 2+ manufacturing sites.
  • Ability to perform a full array of reliability tool sets.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical or mechanical components, tools, and designs.
  • Ability to perform FMEA, cause-and-effect diagrams, RCA, life-cycle costing, and risk analysis.
  • Ability to research and apply new equipment technology/trends.
  • Robust problem solving, mathematical, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, maintenance systems, and applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong reporting and technical writing capability.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships.
Desirable KSAs
  • Desire to develop into a leadership role.
  • Experience with data trend analysis, vibration analysis, motor current analysis, oil analysis, lubrication/hydraulic testing, laser alignment, nondestructive testing, infrared thermography, ultrasound, acoustic reliability, Weibull analysis, and Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
  • Knowledge of government regulations such as cGMP, NETA, EPA, OSHA.
  • CMRP, Green Belt, or STS certifications.
