Senior Loan Operations Coordinator
SummaryThe Senior Loan Operations Coordinator will be a key player in our post-closing loan process, focusing on essential tasks like funding, boarding, servicing, and payoff. You will tackle more complex projects, collaborating with third parties and internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the monetary aspects of loan processing, including initial and subsequent disbursements and transaction processing for loans.
- Reconcile general ledger and operational accounts for accuracy.
- Ensure loan documentation completeness for a smooth onboarding into the core processing system.
- Identify and preserve critical original documentation required for ongoing loan maintenance.
- Oversee all customer service aspects of loan and credit card servicing, including adjustments to rates, payments, and related fees.
- Handle loan escrow accounts, payoff requests, lien releases, and credit bureau reporting.
- Review and verify attorney-prepared documentation for quality assurance.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior loan operation team members.
- Recommend enhancements to improve processes and procedures within the team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused banking environment.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with loan origination and core banking systems.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented setting.
- Open and adaptable to change.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or financial services or a Bachelor's / Associate's Degree combined with equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Google Workspace is preferred.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, nCino, or FIS Bankway is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional travel.
